Running and Gait Analysis and Rehabilitation

Dr. Green and the 2014 Boston Marathon Winner Meb KeflezighiOur Running Analysis & Rehabilitation program is designed for runners of all levels—from beginners wanting to start safely to experienced athletes aiming to boost performance. Whether your goal is to prevent injury, improve efficiency, or return to running after a setback, we provide a detailed, personalized evaluation to help you run your best.

What It Is

This service combines a functional movement assessment with a detailed review of your running mechanics, training habits, and footwear. By analyzing how your body moves during running, we can identify inefficiencies, imbalances, or risk factors that may contribute to pain or limit performance.

Who It Helps

Our running analysis can benefit:

  • Runners with recurring injuries such as shin splints, plantar fasciitis, or IT band syndrome
  • Athletes recovering from running-related injuries
  • Individuals looking to improve running form and efficiency
  • Runners seeking to reduce injury risk and extend their training longevity
  • Competitive athletes aiming to maximize performance potential

What to Expect

The process typically takes one to two appointments. Your provider will evaluate your running form, review your training plan and footwear, and identify areas for improvement. You’ll receive a custom program of corrective exercises, mobility drills, and technique cues to address any risk factors or limitations. These strategies will be explained and practiced with your provider so you can begin—or return to—training in a safe, progressive, and effective way.

Precautions

Running analysis is safe for most individuals but may be adjusted for those with acute injuries or post-surgical restrictions. Be sure to bring your running shoes to the appointment for the most accurate assessment.
