Meet Dr. Eliza Cohen, PT, DPT, CPT

Spine & Sports Injury Center Physical Therapist, Eliza CohenEliza developed a strong work ethic and enthusiasm for athletics at an early age. She trained and competed as an elite tennis player with the Bollettieri Tennis Academy and continued to play varsity tennis and volleyball throughout high school.

Working With Elite Athletes

In college, Eliza became an active participant in Northeastern University’s group fitness classes and her passion for fitness grew. In 2014, she became an ACSM certified personal trainer with a strong interest in strength training. Eliza was able to come full circle during her clinical experiences and had the opportunity to work with elite athletes including Olympic Sailors, NFL combine participants and Bollettieri Tennis Academy students.

Eliza graduated summa cum laude from Northeastern University with a B.S. in Rehabilitation Science in 2016, and in 2017 as a Doctor of Physical Therapy with a Sports Strength and Conditioning concentration.

Experience and Techniques

Eliza has been working as a physical therapist at Spine & Sports Injury Center for over two years. She primarily treats musculoskeletal pain and sports related injuries, including post-operative and return to sport rehabilitation. She utilizes a combination of manual and mechanical therapy with mobility and corrective exercises.

In her spare time, Eliza enjoys functional strength training and CrossFit workouts.
